Meziobecní spolupráce v oblasti odpadového hospodářství a životního prostředí

The diploma thesis is devoted to inter-municipal cooperation in the areas of waste management and the environment. The main aspect of the final thesis is a look at motivation, access to support and perception of inter-municipal cooperation through the lens of representatives of voluntary associations of municipalities. The aim of the thesis is to map the current state of inter-municipal cooperation in the mentioned areas in the Central Bohemian and South Moravian regions of the Czech Republic. According to the conducted questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews with representatives of voluntary unions of municipalities, qualitative information was provided that illustrated the overall view of inter-municipal cooperation in the areas of environment and waste management. The conclusion of the work synthesizes the captured results and proposes measures for the identified barriers that prevent the further development of inter-municipal cooperation projects in the field of waste management and the environment.

Rozvoj meziobecní spolupráce subregionu Velké Dářko a svazku obcí Podoubraví

This thesis speaks about the development of inter-municipal cooperation (IMC) of sub-region Velké Dářko and multi-municipality Podoubraví. The work is split into two parts- theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the important terms regarding the development of the IMC are defined. The importance of the topic is supported by ana-lysing the interviews with the representatives of municipalities involved in the study. The outcome of the practical part of the thesis is a discussion and recommendations, which might lead to improvements in the IMC and development of the entire region.

This bachelor thesis named Municipal cooperation as an important factor of territorial development - an example of the association of municipalities Židlochovicko deals with evaluation of the intermunicipal cooperation in village association Židlochovicko. The thesis is divided to two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part presents opinions of Czech and foreign authors about given topic. The practical part presents results of research which was based on interviews with representatives of municipalities of analysed association. Then arrangements were suggested to increase the functioning efficiency of the association.

It investigates the functioning of the municipal cooperation in various domains and consequently presents opinions and positions of municipal representatives by means of qualitative research.

The Reform of Intermunicipal Cooperation: A transition to the French model?

Presented dissertation on topic Reform of inter-municipal cooperation: Course to French model? deals with the question, to what extent, does, so far, the most elaborated motion to amendment of the form of inter-municipal cooperation, proposed by Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, follows the model of inter-municipal cooperation in France. From this point of view, the topic of inter-municipal cooperation in the Czech Republic is, as a matter of fact, unexplored phenomenon without existing research and comparative analysis. The objective of the research in my dissertation is to prove, according to definitional standards determined in advance, what particular adjustment in the field of financial, structural and legislative inter-municipal cooperation in France has this motion adopted and, on the contrary, what adjustment it has not and why. The research does not deal with all of the elaborated motions to constituent amendment of the current form of inter-municipal cooperation, but, in particular, with the motion to amendment of the general conception of inter-municipal cooperation in the Czech Republic.

Bachelor thesis deals with an issue of the inter-municipal cooperation in associa-tion of municipalities Ploština. The theoretical part describes the issue of rural areas and small municipalities. Further attention is focused on the association of municipalities Ploština where is examined the socio-economical situation in mi-croregion. The practical part describes the current state of the functioning of the microregion. There is the analysis of the results of structured interviews with rep-resentatives of member´s municipalities in the association of municipalities Ploština. The results of this analysis are new suggestions of proceeding which may lead to improvement of inter-municipal cooperation.

Intermunicipal Cooperation in the Pilsen Region

This thesis deals with the inter-municipal cooperation in the Pilsen region. In the theoretical part there is the concept of inter-municipal cooperation defined and the reasons behind the cooperation among the municipalities explained. These include efforts to overcome the fragmented municipal structure, more efficient and cheaper providing of the services and savings. In this thesis there are also the risks and limits of the inter-municipal cooperation mentioned and the attention is paid to the possible democratic deficits. The cooperation of the municipalities is also compared to the amalgamation of municipalities. The next section contains case studies of inter-municipal cooperation in selected European countries. The following section regards the Czech Republic, in which there is the development of municipal structures explored, as well as the legislative basis of the inter-municipal cooperation issues and also the causes that lead to cooperation between municipalities are assessed. After that, the attention is given to the voluntary associations of municipalities and micro-regions in the Pilsen region.

Social care in conjunction with home care as public interest and basic pillar of elderly care in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the security system care services and other related services, including informal care for seniors in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to evaluate, describe and offer a closer understanding of nursing as a basic social care service in connection with the principle of shared care in a natural home environment for seniors as the ideal form of care for the elderly at present and due to the demographic development in the future. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part covers three main topics: day care service system in the Czech Republic, seniors as a target group of caring and sharing and municipalities and their role in caring for the elderly. The practical part is devoted to the research, which focuses on the relationship of care services and communities from the perspective of potential service users, ie. the elderly. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods is used in the research and interprets the results of the survey conducted among the elderly in three senior clubs in Prague 17. The research complements the findings mentioned in the theoretical part.
